What is sandblasting?
Sandblasting is a mechanical process that consists in projecting abrasive particles at very high speed against a surface, in order to obtain the removal of the whole surface or parts of it.
By far the most frequent use is for surface cleaning on any type of surface, however it can also be used for engraving inscriptions and images on marble and stones.
Use of the sandblaster
Sandblasting makes it possible to obtain very high efficiency processes as, depending on the power of the compressor, it is possible to throw 100 to 600 kg / hour of abrasive such as silica sand against the surface to be treated.
There are mainly four blasting modes:
